How to: Look cute while you're working out

When you work out you can still look good! Here are some tipps and tricks which will help you to still feel pretty while you're working out. We'll start with clothing :)

Underwear
You should get a sports bra. Don't go for the cheapest one, this is a thing you should invest some money in, you don't want your breasts hanging down your knees right? :D
And go for comfortable undies too :)
Shoes
Get some comfortable shoes because it's very important that they support your ankles and your joints so they can be healthy for your back and posture. It's also necessary that you take a pair that's your right size or a bit bigger otherwise they'll hurt you very bad. So rather take sports shoes which are healthy than a pair which looks nice! Also watch out for some leather soles so that you don't get sweaty and smelly feet.
Socks
Don't you ever forget your socks!!! :D By sweating your feet will get wet and you'll get mean mean blisters!!
Pants and Tops
Here you can spend a bit less money because there are lots of nice cheap sportswear! The only important thing is that you feel comfortable and beautiful so that nothing can bother you while you're working out :)

So now lets have a look at the Make-up:
We don't recommend you to wear Make-up or powder, depending on what your doing you might sweat it of, or worse: you'll get sooo red because the make up won't let your skin breath and sweat enough. So if you have to cover up some red spots just use some concealer.
Go for waterproof mascara and just a bit of eye brow pencil if you like.
No blush, you'll get red anyways :D
An important note: Don't put self-tanner on your skin before working out, it will "melt" because you'll sweat, it will cause ugly stains and irregularities.
So in general go for a really natural look and don't use a lot of Make-up, you will still look pretty :)

Hair

Don't forget a hair tie if you have long hair! We suggest you to make a ponytail or even better a bun and keep it tight, so it wont move around.
Use a Hair-band like this if you have bangs or if you really want to tighten your bun up.

Also don't forget a good antitranspirant and use it before and after your workout so you won't sweat too much.
Btw a antitranspirant is not the same as a deodorant: The antitranspirant will minimize the sweating and the deodorant will just cover it with its perfume! So its better to go for antitranspirant.
Another tipp is that you shouldn't wear jewelry except for some cute stud earrings. Bracelets, Necklaces and watches will just disturb you.

So we hope this will help to make your Workout much more fun!

DVD Review

We just watched "Julie & Julia" with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams (based on the book "Julie & Julia" from Julie Powell, it's actually a true story) and we enjoyed it so much!! It's a beautiful, funny, cute and a bit sad story about two women who share the love for cooking but are still very different and never get to actually meet each other. We don't want to tell you too much about the story beacause we don't want to "ruin" it. :)

It's a movie you would watch alone, with your best friend or your mom. Oh, talking about moms, mother's day is coming up on May 9th and we think this DVD would be the perfect gift! We're sure every mom would enjoy this movie just as much as you would.
To sum up, it will make you smile and bright up you day! And we would recommend it to all GIRLS (Boyfriends would fall asleep and call it an emotional boring chick flick :P)
Have a nice weekend! x

Daily Skin Care Routine

Hi guys!

One of the most important things in a girls life is her skin. You want a smooth and nice looking skin and in this post I show you my daily skin care routine. But keep in mind that every skin is different and needs a different care, so go to a cosmetican and she'll help you to find your personal skin care routine!

When I was younger I had really bad acne and I even had to take Roaccutan to get rid of it. Nowadays its a lot better but I still have really oily skin. Therefor I'm always in search for
products for oily skin. Due to a Youtube guru I just started with the Clinique's 3-Step skin care system and I just love it! You should first make the quick skin consultation on their homepage so that you know your skin type. I'm type 3 because of my oily skin and I think the system really helped. But now to a really important step in your skin care routine. Lots of people think that the don't have to use a moisturizer because they have oily skin but thats not ture! Your skin needs the moisture and so you have to use a moisturizer on a daily basis.

I recommend to use the
Clinique Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moistruizer but If you have your own moisturizer thats also perfect. I just advise to take one thats oil-free if you have a skin like mine.

Today I also bought the Oil Control Lotion from Mac because during the day my skin gets really oily and the lotion should help to decrease the production of oil. I'm really exicted about this product and I hope it will help my skin. It doesn't matter if you use it at day or night and I think this makes it a lot easier and faster.

I also use some masks and peelings but I'll do a seperate blog on this theme :)

Small Sports Shop Haul

Today we went to a sports shop near where we live and bought some stuff for keeping the motivation up ;) So here an other tip: when you buy sports wear or other equipment try to buy them in cute colors, with nice detailing and so on. Don't buy just boring black dumb bells. Go for pink, green or blue, what ever color you like and which will motivate you! :) And for pants in example: don't go and buy six pairs of boring black pants that all look the same, try different lengths, colors and styles!
So here is what we got:

A pair of sweat pants and a cute pink top each.

Here a biiig motivator, you want to look good in your bikini, right?? :D

After doing sports you'll need to relax a bit, indulge and to reward yourself: Scented candles, a cooling eye mask and a pumice stone for our feet :)

Thank you for reading and go vote for the next entry on the sidebar!! xoxo C & M
P.S.: We went to step aerobic on monday evening :)

Shape up girls!!

Good Evening!
We have an announcement to make: we're going to shape up for summer!!! We're trying to be healthier, fitter, and our bodies to be toned and more tight. But we're not trying to loose weight in first place! So our plan is to start by taking some sport classes and we started by 3 per week and we do them on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. Also we're drinking more water, eating less sweets and fast food which is hard, I'm sure you know :D and trying to eat more veggies and fruits. We just started last week and want to encourage you to join us, there is nothing as important than to be healthy!! And lets be serious, its so easy when your young!! So we have to stop to be lazy and to make excuses and just do it! ;) We will keep you updated and would love to read some comment and your personal tips!

Here some of our tips for you (and more and more will follow):
1. Buy a bottle of water and carry it around with you the whole day, as soon as its empty refill it!
2. Take an apple or just a fruit you like with you to work, school or uni and eat it as a snack!
3. Eat breakfast every day!!! That is so important because it will activate your metabolism and boost it up to 10%!!
4. For sports choose something that is fun for you to do, like dancing, walking your dog, ride a bicycle with a friend or alone, go swimming and so on, and try to alternate your sports plan so it wont get boring for you :)
5. Ask a friend to join you, we all know everything is muuuuuch more fun with your best friend than alone, and it will be easier to stay tuned!!

We hope we can help and empower each other!!! :)

Good night! xoxo
